Miriam Lehto
1913-2003

Actress, Director, Grande Dame, Theatre Maven, Diva.    Miriam Lehto embodied these terms for Stratton patrons and theatre-goers.  Stratton members knew her as all of these, as well as friend, mentor, historian, and sage.  For the past seven decades, through hard times and prosperity, war and peace, artistic freedom and repression, two constants provided a sense of stability and continuity:  Stratton Players and Miriam Lehto.  In the decades to come, the Stratton Players will preserve Miriam’s legacy as the vibrant, living embodiment of her dedication, wisdom and spirit.
