Stratton Spring Break

 

 

A Festival of Short Plays

 The season closes with a warm-weather Stratton tradition. Writer/producer Sally Cragin oversees a cornucopia of short plays presented by the membership. Comedy, drama, farce, dance, pantomime are all on the slate, with new work debuting alongside classics of the short-play genre.

The plays include, “Scripted,” by Mark Harvey Levine, directed by Victor Dupuis, with Pam Sontag and Mike Sauvageau, “Heart Smart” by Linda Eisenstein directed by Sharon Bernard with Bria Sullivan and Ioanna Karamanou. “Telephone Bob,” by William Campbell directed by Sally Cragin with Gary Kendall, Jen Knight and Kelly Stowell, “On The Porch one Crisp Spring Morning” by Alex Dremann, directed by Victor Dupuis with Marilyn Wales and Lynn Armstrong. “Fixer-Upper” by Paul Dilella directed by Janet Cragin with Leandro Strathmeyer and Laurie-Ann Millard, “She's Fabulous,” by Jack Neary directed by Lori Stevenson, with Lorraine Mason and Rachel D'Onfro, “Sir Edmund Walter has a Thought” by Matthew Haldeman, directed by Sharon Bernard, with Victor Dupuis and Norman Gallagher, “Drip” by Tom Taylor, directed by Victor Dupuis with Matt Hurley and Dave Maxim, and plays by Stratton members, “String Theory” written and directed by Sally Cragin with choreography by Meaghan Dame featuring Jeff Van Amburgh, Ian Smith, Kristi Wheaton, Christine Guertin, and Gary Kendall and “The Briefing” by Rick Woods, directed by Rachel D'Onfro, with Janet Cragin, Frank Bartucca, and David Bishop. 

There will be a special offering, “Cinco de Mayo Dinner and a Show,” at the Fay Club on Saturday, May 5. Enjoy a buffet dinner of Tacos and fajita station, including chicken and beef strips, chili station, refried beans and rice, black bean and jicama salad. Dessert, fried banana cheesecake with churros and a cinnamon dipping sauce. Price for both dinner and a show is $38 includes all inclusive, tax and gratuity included. Dinner only, $24. Seatings begin at 6 p.m.
